Rhyme Time

This week we are learning the rhyme Humpty Dumpty. Read the rhyme with your child.

Can you draw a picture of Humpty Dumpty sitting on the wall?

Who came to help Humpty Dumpty?

Could he be fixed? Why? Why not?

Chinese New Year

This week we celebrated the Chinese New Year by reading a story and acting it out. We made medals to give to the animals who won the race and made red purses from playdough to put lucky gold coins into. We are also working on a dragon to put on our display. Photos coming soon.

Amazing writers

We have some super writers in Nursery. This week two children produced some excellent independent writing and went to receive a dazzle sticker from Mrs Laing. We are so proud of you, keep it up.

Chinese New Year

Today we read a story all about Chinese New Year. The children learnt that the colours gold and red were lucky and that people gave each other red envelopes with money inside. The children went away and made purses from red playdough and placed gold coins onto them. Ask your child what facts they can remember from today’s story about the animals who had a race.
